Lies my neighbor taught me

The following is a list of things that the neighbors have told reporters, inspectors and anyone who questions them.

Lie #1.  James is Judy's father-

No. No relation at all.  He met her about a year ago somewhere on Nebraska Ave, and took her in so she could get her kids back from the state. The children are not related to him either.

Lie #2. My wife and I hate kids -

We do not hate kids.  If we did, we not volunteer every chance we get to babysit for friends. The way this came about is that we asked the owner if he could get the cursing and yelling to maybe quiet down a bit.  I guess when you are a "professional victim", nothing is EVER your fault and now the kids have to take the blame. Kids will be kids. We don't care if we hear them playing outside, but now they're not allowed outside anymore at all.
Besides, this blog is mainly FOR those poor kids.

Lie #3. We have been trying to buy his house ever since his wife left-

We would not want that house. We believe it would cost more to have the house torn down than the actual cost of the property.  No one would want the headache of taking on that project and I don't think you could pay us TO take it on.

Lie #4.  The hole in 6003's roof was caused by my tree falling on it-

About three years ago one of the limbs on my grandfather oak fell, out of nowhere, without wind or rain or anything.  It came down toward 6003, taking out our fence and the foliage part landing on his porch.  Right away he got out there with a chainsaw and we worked all weekend getting it cut back.  We don't know what we would have doe without his help.
Miraculously, the only damage to his house was that the rain gutters got a little bent, and a plant in his garden may have gotten hit.  As he has no homeowners insurance, we offered over and over to pay for whatever he needed, to fix anything that was damaged and, being a great neighbor, he said "don't worry, there isn't any damage, I just need to hang the gutter back up".
Again, this was almost 3 years ago. The blue tarp went up about 5 months ago.

Lie #5.  We own the house behind ours-

No. We only own one house

Lie #6.  We co-own the tree at the house behind ours with the owner of that house-

What?  Not sure we understand.  First we own that house, now we co-own an oak tree?

Lie #7.  The owner paid $500 to evict the woman and kids that live with him; she is moving out the first of the month; she is moving out the middle of the month; she'll be out in ___ weeks... this one really goes on and on so...

We just wanted to clear all this up.
