How Do I Inspect Thee? Let Me Count the Times


John here.

We're waiting to see what happens from the latest inspections at 6003 N. Otis. From the look of the back yard it's vent pipe down, weeds up:

And fencing still covering the sewer "repair."

And still no paint (but the mold does have a nice shine to it).

And ongoing unorthodox practices with the garbage.

And the trash behind the shed (nice toilet!).


In the meantime, I returned to my summary of the sixty page "Action File Recap" for 6003. A pivot table discloses that Code inspected there thirty-one times and cited a total of sixty-two violations:

Recall that "Public Nuisance" in this case means "raw sewage on the ground."

If the Mayor lived next door to this ongoing affront, do you suppose for a moment that Code would have written sixty-two violations over a sixty-four month period without getting an injunction or collecting a nickel in penalties?

I don’t think so either.
